33 weeks and Friends Shower

I think I had my most encouraging appointment ever last week. She was very complimentary and said that my weight, blood pressure and glucose results were all "perfect." It's funny how hearing stuff like that really makes you feel good when your pregnant (especially when you weigh more than you ever have in your life!)

This Saturday my best friends Amber and Christy, along with my mom, threw us an amazing shower! So many of our friends were there and it just reminded Jason and I how blessed we are with all the friends in our lives.

This week is the last week of school! I will look back and miss it but I am definitely ready for it to be over. I'm really looking forward to relaxing for a few weeks before Clara gets here!

32 weeks

We had our first birth class this past week and we really enjoyed it. It was more of an intro to everything so we are both anxious to learn about how we are going to work as a couple throughout labor and delivery. The other couples in our class are having girls as well. It seems like everyone who just had a baby or is pregnant is having a girl! Jason and I have the earliest due date out of the three couples so we will probably be the first ones!

Jason and I didn't do anything really exciting this weekend. Just hung out and watched a few movies. We went on a "date" to the movies Saturday, he wanted to see Star Trek. :) Every time we do something like that, or are just driving to go eat somewhere, I try to savor every moment knowing it won't be just me and him much longer. We won't be able to just hop in the car at the spur of the moment and go somewhere. He's definitely more "ready" than I am. HAHA. He told me the other day that it seems like I've been pregnant forever and he just wants her to be here. And although I'm dying to meet her, I'm still loving being pregnant and have that "I'm not ready yet!" feeling.

We can't wait for our "friends" shower this weekend!

7 months and Jason's sailing trip

We are 31 weeks now (or 7 months)! Everything was great at our appointment last Tuesday, all of my tests came back normal. Yay! Clara is definitely getting bigger and running out of room because she has started kicking me in the ribs. She will also kick me so hard in the side that sometimes it hurts! I can't believe she's just gonna keep getting stronger.

Jason and I took a couple classes at the local hospital this weekend. The first class was on baby care and the second was on breastfeeding. They were very informative. :) We will be starting our birth classes this week as well!

I put some pictures up from Jason's sailing trip. He had a really great time even though there wasn't much wind most of the time. The scenery was really beautiful.

30 weeks!

I still can't believe it's already 30 weeks! The past 7 months have felt like they've gone by in 2 seconds.

Jason left me again this week, but this time not for work. He is sailing off the coast of Seattle with a couple friends from college. They are going to multiple islands and even to Canada (they are there today). You'd think he'd be tired of Canada by now since he's been so many times! He has sent me a few beautiful pictures but I can't get them off my phone and onto my computer. So I will just have to wait to put up pictures when he gets back. Although I am missing him a ton I'm so glad he got to go on this trip. We had said even before we were pregnant that he should go on one last fun trip before we have kids. He does so much for me and has given up many things for us so I love getting to see him do something for himself! He is such an awesome husband.

Whenever Jason leaves I try to see as much of my friends and family as possible. This weekend I hung out with my best friend Amber. She took me to a farm in Alvin where you can pick your own strawberries. It was really neat! She was also nice enough to go with me on the St. Lukes Hospital tour. Jason said he really didn't "want" to go so I brought Amber along with me. I'm not gonna lie, it made me a little nervous. :) It just made everything seem much more real, especially when we saw a woman in labor walking the halls. That will be me in just a few short weeks! But at the same time I got so excited at the thought of meeting Clara. Every time I feel her kick it puts a smile on my face and makes me unbelievably excited!

Only 4 weeks til summer!

Family Shower and Nursery

This past week was a busy week with TAKS all week long at school, cleaning the house for the shower, Jason being in Canada, finishing the nursery and the shower on Saturday! Woo!

Jason's mom was in charge of the shower and it was so beautiful! She had the cutest ideas including a garland of our baby pictures. Apparently Jason and I went through somewhat difficult births and looked a little.....well, slightly scary. HAHA. My mom couldn't even find my newborn picture because they never kept it out due to how scary I looked. And Jason looked like a tiny little alien. Hopefully Clara will not take after us! But even if she does she will still be beautiful to us, right!? :)

I also posted some pictures of Clara's room. It was so fun decorating it over the past couple months. Sometimes I just open the door and stare in because I'm so excited to have her in it! Can't believe she'll be her so soon!
