Full Term!

We are officially full term now (37 weeks) so technically it could be anytime although I think it will be at least another week or two (hopefully not too much longer than that!). It's weird to think that each morning we wake up we can say "today might be the day." Crazy!

This weekend two of Jason's old roommates (Asa and Christy) got married to each other. It is really cute because they are high school sweethearts and have been together for so long! Other than that we are just finishing up our birth classes, going to weekly appointments and doing stuff around the house. This week we will be meeting with a potential pediatrician for Clara. I guess we have to see if we like her first! :)

24 days (more or less)...

This past week and a half we have just been doing stuff around the house and getting any last minute stuff Clara might need. I'm starting to think that even if "everything gets done" I will still not feel ready!

This past weekend we went to Austin and did some fun stuff around the city. I told Jason he had to take me some places since this would be the last time we will go out of town for awhile. He did a good job. :) We celebrated Father's day with Jason's family Saturday night at P.F. Chang's. On Sunday we went to my Grandma's house and saw my dad and ate good old Lockhart BBQ. Yum! But before we went to Lockhart, Jason took me to the Botanical Gardens and did a "photo shoot" of me. It was really fun and I was really impressed with how much he knew. There are a lot more pictures than these so if you want to see more just let us know!

Everything was great at our appointment on Tuesday. She said I was starting to "thin out" so it was nice to here that my body is starting to prepare for the labor process. Now it's just a guessing game of when she's gonna come!

35 weeks

Everything went great at our appointment this week. She said that Clara was "perfect" and will be on the smaller side therefore being a good baby to get out for delivery. That would be nice! :) I'm trying not to get my hopes up though in case I go past the due date and end up having a big girl! She showed me where and how she was laying and how to feel for her head. It was so weird! I thought the head would feel smooshy for some reason but it was just this little hard ball. Right now she is head and face down so hopefully she stays that way!

Jason left for the high school camp in Florida this Thursday. I'm tired of him being gone! I miss him more each time he leaves. But I really wanted him to go for his senior guys.

Getting so close...

34 weeks and end of school

I'm excited and ready to say that I officially ended my career in teaching this past week! Although I look back at the past 3 years as an awesome and enjoyable experience, I felt so ready to be done. This year was by far my best year though. Oddly enough, I was afraid it was going to be my worst because I had mostly boys in all my classes. But they proved me wrong because they ended up being my favorite group of students. And although I love them, I definitely will not miss all the teenage drama, hormonal outbursts and TAKS testing that comes with teaching high school. :)

On Tuesday some of my work friends were really sweet threw a small shower for me at school. And then on the last day we received a whole box full of gifts from all the volleyball girls and coaches. We have definitely been more than taken care of!

This Thursday night Jason will leave to go to Florida (with about 100 kids and 20 other leaders) for the summer youth conference. I have gone every year, but don't get to go this year for obvious reasons. It's been very bitter sweet for me because this will be my girls' last year to go. They are seniors now (and I started with them when they were freshman)! But I know God will do amazing things while they are there and that's all that matters!

34 weeks!!! Woo Hoo!

This pretty much summed up my year...all boys!

My room

And last but not least, my infamous cart. We went through a lot together. It was "my room" during my first year of teaching. I was a floater and had to push it around from room to room with all my papers, supplies and equipment for labs. I never took the decorations off from my first year. I didn't know if I wanted to hug it or break it into a million pieces this week as a farwell. I decided to keep it just the way it is for the next teacher... :)
