28 weeks and Jason's Birthday

Jason turned 27 today! He also left for Canada today and will be back Thursday.

We got the last thing for the nursery (the dresser/changing table) this past week so the room should be officially done for the family shower this weekend. I'll post pictures of it next weekend. Jason and I are so excited for our first baby shower this Saturday!

Hopefully I will survive this next week. It's TAKS week! Ahh!

28 weeks

27 weeks and camping

We decided to be adventurous this weekend and go camping even though the weather was predicted to be 80% chance of thunderstorms. Hey, we gotta take advantage of this before baby gets here! I felt like we really lucked out though. By the time we got there Friday the rain had stopped and we were able to set everything up without getting drenched. There was a little rain throughout the night but the REAL rain hit Saturday morning. We ended up staying in the truck for a few hours because of the lightening and torrential downpour. Our tent ended up flooding and the majority of our stuff got soaked! But by early afternoon most of the rain stopped and we got to enjoy being outside. We ended up staying a second night since Sunday was supposed to be beautiful and it certainly was!

It's official, I'm now in my third trimester and Clara could potentially be her in less than three months! It's so weird, scary, exciting, surreal and every other emotion. But mainly just exciting. :) I had an appointment today and the midwife said we were measuring perfectly! Yeah! Clara's heartbeat was in the 130's. I also did my glucose test to screen for gestational diabetes. I won't get the results for a few days, but I'm hoping everything is normal!

Easter Weekend

Today we are 26 weeks and 1 day. In a week I will be in the third trimester! This week Clara's stroller arrived (a gift from my dad and Barbara) and we were really excited. Jason and I were pushing it around the living room, pretending there was a baby in it. We were so excited that we even considered taking it on our walk Saturday night, but decided that would be a little weird. HAHA.

We also got to hang out with Jason's family this weekend. As always we had a good time! I will post some pictures when they get emailed to me.

And the best part of this week was getting to celebrate Easter! Each year that goes by I love it more and more by celebrating what Christ did for me. It's so easy to take for granted the fact that He took our place on the cross so that we would not have to suffer. This gives me such hope and a continuing fire to walk with Him and for Him. Thank you Jesus!

26 weeks

25 weeks and 3 years of bliss

We've reached 25 weeks! I have been feeling her a little more consistently now, especially at night. Sometimes we can even see her moving from the outside! It's so cool to watch my belly move around. I am really itching to get the 3-D ultrasound done just because I want to see her so bad! But I always said that I wouldn't get one because I want to be surprised by what she looks like. Also, the 3-D images are slightly creepy. I think it would be impossible to convince Jason to let us get one anyway, he thinks they are scary. :) I am getting so excited at the thought of meeting her!

Jason and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on Wednesday. 3 years of bliss! HAHA. Seriously though, sometimes I just sit and think about him and how lucky I am to have my best friend as my husband. He is the most selfless person I know. We are going to celebrate tomorrow night by going to a restaurant downtown. Trying to take advantage of as many date nights as possible!

25 weeks
